Coeliac disease is an auto-immune disease, where gluten, a protein found in wheat, barley and rye, causes damage to the small intestine, which leads to impaired nutrient absorption, which affects approximately 46,000 people in Ireland.

Gluten is a common ingredient in many foods that people consume every day, including – for example – bread, pasta, gravy, ready meals etc.

We at Knorr believe that great tasting, gluten free meals should be available and achievable for anyone that chooses a gluten-free lifestyle. As such, we’re proud to include a variety of gluten free products in our range – Knorr’s Classic Stock Cubes (excluding Reduced Salt Stock Cubes),), Knorr Savoury Gravy Granules, and selected Knorr Stock Pots* are all suitable for a gluten free diet. Knorr were also delighted to sponsor Coeliac Awareness Week 2015.

*Excludes Herb Infusion and Fish Stock Pots

Gluten Free FAQ

Which of Knorr’s products are gluten free?

Knorr is proud to have a range of products that are suitable for a gluten free diet.

  • Knorr’s Classic Stock Cubes  (not including Reduced Salt Stock Cubes), and Knorr’s Savoury Gravy Granules are gluten free. Beef, Chicken and Vegetable Stock Pots are also gluten free.
  • Rich Beef Knorr Stock Pots  contain small amounts of malt extract which is derived from barley. European labelling regulations require all cereals which contain gluten to be declared on the ingredients list (that’s why barley must be declared). However if the level of gluten in the finished product is less than 20ppm, the claim “gluten free” can be made. As the level of gluten in selected Knorr Stock Pots is less than 20ppm, the product is gluten free. We are proud to confirm that the below flavours are suitable for a gluten free diet:
